Terms of Service

1. Accepting these Terms

These Terms of Service govern the Zmashers Android app (package com.zmashers.app), published by Mono-Z Studios, and the Zmashers service it connects to. By creating an account, signing in, joining a session, booking a court, or posting a clip, you agree to these Terms, our Android privacy policy, and the website Terms of Service, which carry the fuller booking, cancellation, refund and payout rules. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

You must be old enough to enter into these Terms yourself, or use Zmashers only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.

2. Your account

• Give accurate information, keep your password or Google account secure, and use one account for yourself.
• Signing in with Google shares your Google account identifier, verified email address, name and profile photo with us, which is what your Zmashers profile is built from.
• Do not share your account, impersonate someone else, or create accounts to get around a suspension, a block, or a limit.
• You can delete your account at any time in the app: Account → Settings → Danger zone → Delete my account. The data deletion page explains exactly what is deleted and what stays with other players.

3. Playing matches and challenges

• A challenge or an invitation becomes a match when the players it needs accept it. Once a match is on, both sides are expected to turn up at the court, date and time it says.
• Results are settled by the players themselves. Ratings, rankings and statistics only change from matches that are settled, and a match can be disputed, cancelled, or reported as a no-show instead.
• Play honestly. Sandbagging, playing under another player’s account, agreeing false results, or deliberately losing to move a rating is cheating and can end your access to rated play.
• We are not present at your matches. Court conduct, safety and sportsmanship are between the players and the venue.

4. Open play sessions

• A host sets the format, player count, courts and schedule of a session, and runs it on the day: seats, check-ins, teams and scores are the host’s call.
• While a session is still a plan, a host can remove a player, and a player can leave. Once it has started it is played out or completed instead, and the session stays in the players’ history.
• Walk-ins are admitted by the host scanning the player’s own QR code. Do not share a screenshot of your code with people you do not want admitted.

5. Teams

A team is a pair. When one player invites another the team only exists once the other player accepts, and both players can leave it. Team names must not impersonate someone else or break the rules in section 10.

6. Clips, reviews and other content you post

• You keep ownership of the clips, photos, names and text you upload. You give us permission to host, format, and display them in the app, and to promote Zmashers with them.
• Only post what you have the right to post: your own footage, and no other person’s image or work without their permission.
• Clips are checked automatically and can be reported by other players. We may remove content that is unlawful, sexual, violent, harassing, hateful, misleading or spammy, and may restrict the account that posted it.
• You can hide a player’s clips, block a player, and report content or behaviour from within the app.

7. Ads

The free app shows advertising supplied by Google AdMob, mostly between clips in the reel. Ads are chosen by the ad provider, not by us, and an ad is not an endorsement. See the Android privacy policy for how advertising data is handled.

8. Court bookings, payments and payouts

• Venues, court schedules, prices, rules and payment options are set by the venue owner. Bookings are confirmed only when the app shows a successful reservation or payment.
• Online payments are processed by PayMongo (for example QR Ph) in a separate checkout. A checkout that is abandoned, failed, expired or cancelled does not create a paid booking.
• Where a venue offers pay-at-venue, you pay the venue directly on the day. Repeated unpaid or cancelled pay-at-venue bookings can pause that option on your account.
• Cancellation, refund and reschedule rules — and the payout terms for venue owners — are set out in the website Terms of Service.

9. Messages and notifications

Direct and team messages are for arranging and talking about matches. Keep them lawful and civil, and do not use them to spam, harass, advertise, or send other people’s content. You can block a player or report a message at any time, and you can turn chat or system notifications off in the app’s settings.

10. Prohibited conduct

• Harassment, threats, hate speech, or content about harming people.
• Cheating, false results, fake accounts, or rating manipulation.
• Sexual content, nudity, graphic violence, or content involving minors in a harmful way.
• Uploading malware, scraping the service, or trying to bypass its security, rate limits or moderation.
• Using Zmashers in breach of the law, of these Terms, or of someone else’s rights.

11. Service availability and changes

We keep the app working as well as we can, but we do not promise it will always be available, uninterrupted, or free of faults. Features can be added, changed, paused or removed, and the app may need to update before it can be used again.

12. Suspension and ending your access

We may suspend an account, remove content, or limit features when we reasonably need to investigate a report, enforce these Terms, protect other players, or comply with the law. You can stop using Zmashers at any time by deleting your account in the app.

13. Disclaimers and liability

Zmashers is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Sport is physical: you play at your own risk, within your own ability and your own medical advice, and we are not responsible for injuries, losses, or disputes between players, teams, or venues. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, lost profits, or lost data. Nothing here excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded, including your rights as a consumer.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Before starting a claim, please contact us and give us a chance to resolve the issue informally. Disputes that cannot be resolved that way go to the courts with proper jurisdiction in the Philippines, subject to any consumer rights that cannot be waived.
